Some side effects may occur.

Side effects from taking anti histamines and the long term use of anti histamines have been weighing on my mind recently.  So much so that I've decided to try two weeks without using them and see how I'm doing.
Normally I take one everyday for hayfever and have been doing so for about 24 years.  I don't know that they have been working particularly well for me and I hadn't realised it until it was brought to my attention but I've experienced all of the side effects.  http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cetirizine#Side_effects While according to the Listener [15-21 Feb 2014] they are also responsible for weight gain.
It's my first day without antihistamines for quite sometime and I'm not looking to replace them with a natural alternative but to eat a well balanced diet and do the things that I know are good for me.  Like getting plenty of good rest, drinking plenty of water, exercise regularly, reduce sugar and alcohol, eat fresh.  So far, so good and I have to say that it feels good to have the support of my hubby on side, he's also decided to cease his consumption of anti-histamines.  Ideally the side effects disappearing would be wonderful and an abeyance from hayfever would be truly marvellous.  I fancy the idea of being able to take bike rides up the coast roads and picnic under a tree or at the beach.  Here's to dreams of a bright future.
